Market Kitchen Murals

In February 2023, a local cafe called Market Kitchen expressed to me their interest in commissioning some indoor wall art. Their goal was to brighten up the space with some big, impactful pieces.

First I came up for concepts for the different areas of the building. (All images found on Pinterest)

Wall 1:

Entrance

The first wall is in the entrance to the cafe, next to the counter. We wanted it to be big and striking, with a quirky tea party theme going up the wall. I created a concept, and then a detailed design. When it came to painting, I sketched the design freehand onto the wall, so that I could get the positioning exactly where I wanted it relative to the space. I then painted the wall, added an outline and finished it with a coat of varnish. The full process can be seen on Instagram.
